Graciela Maglia, Ph.D.Coordinator African Heritage Program at the Instituto Caro y Cuervo, Colombia 2016-2020. Visiting Professor Researcher at the Humanities Institute, Penn State University 2020-2021.Her publications include several books and articles in the fields of Caribbean Studies, Afro-Creole Studies, Literary Criticism, and Semiotics. She is the author of: Kondalo pa bibí mejó. Oratura y oralitura de San Basilio de Palenque (Colombia), 2015 (with Yves Moñino), and De la machina imperial a la vereda tropical. Poesía, identidad y nación en el Caribe afrohispánico, 2009. She is also the author of a bilingual collection of her poetry, Entrópicos/Entropics, 2013. She is editor or coeditor of: Si yo fuera tambó. Poesía selecta de Candelario Obeso y Jorge Artel. Edición crítica, 2019, 2010; Palenque (Colombia): Orality, Identity and Resistance. An interdisciplinary approach, 2017 (with Armin Schwegler and Bryan Kirschen); and Memorias, saberes y redes: Culturas populares en América Latina en tiempos del capitalismo global, 2016 (with Leonor Hernández); and Palenque (Colombia): oralidad, identidad y resistencia 2012 (with Armin Schwegler).
